For two hours on a mild, spring Saturday afternoon, about 50 alumni, family and Marietta College officials gathered in a quaint brewery in Boston’s Seaport District to celebrate an event that was many, many months in the making.
"Finding a Place to Live" was the topic of Thursday's CashCourse Lunch Session, presented by Marietta College Dean of Students, Bruce Peterson. Bruce talked to students about navigating the rental market, what to look for when visiting potential apartments, and how to budget for those unexpected costs once you're out on your own.
Marietta College alumni and friends gathered in Houston, Texas on Sunday March 1st to watch James Harden and the Houston Rockets face off against Lebron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers. In what ended up being a very heated game the Rockets defeated the Cavaliers, 105-103 in overtime. Following the game, the group moved onto the MKT Bar just blocks away for a special Happy Hour.
It may be hard to believe, but the Marietta College Student Alumni Association is fast approaching the tenth anniversary of its founding and with almost a decade of programming under its belt, the presentation of its annual week of festivities leading up to Founder's Day is still a very deep shade of Navy Blue!
The Student Alumni Association and the Young Pioneer Network will be presenting an All-Campus Pioneer Skype on Thursday, November 6th, 2014 from 12:15p.m.-1:00p.m. in the Trustee Conference Room, located in the DBRC.
Lauren Yanko, a 2011 graduate of Marietta College, will be joining in via Skype and will be sharing insight on her transition after college and the decisions she made in pursuit of her career as a designer in the technology realm.
