With ideal weather and a record number of people registered for events (627), Marietta College’s 2016 Homecoming weekend was a huge success.
Many alumni and friends of the College returned to campus a little early as they either participated in or wanted to witness the inauguration of Dr. William N. Ruud as Marietta’s 19th president.
Over 40 alumni and friends gathered at Cooper's Hawk Winery and Restaurant last week on September 7th to kick off - or in this case, revitalize - the Greater Cincinnati Regional Association of Marietta College.
Good food and wine, and good friends - both old and new! - made for an enjoyable evening.
Tradition. That's what the Mid-Ohio Valley Day at Don Dumm Stadium has become, thanks to the creativity and hard work of some of our alumni from Wood County, WV. Under the Blue and White Tent just beyond the end zone, area alumni and friends gathered on Saturday, September 3rd prior to the Marietta Pioneers' home opener vs. Denison University.
With over 50 alumni, current students, and friends of Marietta College present, the kickoff of the Columbus and Central Ohio Regional Association was a success! Camelot Cellars in the Olde Town East section of Columbus was packed with Pioneers on August 18! Those gathered shared light appetizers, as well as wine and dessert pairings.
With over 72 alumni, parents, grandparents, and friends of Marietta College present, the kickoff to the Cleveland and Northeast Ohio Regional Association was a hit! Hosted in The Hermit Club at the Hofbrauhaus in Cleveland, the August 17 event brought The Long Blue Line together from around the region. The turnout was possibly the largest ever for a Regional Association kickoff event!
Dr. Bill Ruud, 19th President of Marietta College, along with Angela Anderson, Vice President of Advancement, and Larry Hiser, Athletics Director, provided exciting updates from campus.
