A Tradition Continues: MOV Day at Don Drumm Stadium

Tradition. That's what the Mid-Ohio Valley Day at Don Dumm Stadium has become, thanks to the creativity and hard work of some of our alumni from Wood County, WV. Under the Blue and White Tent just beyond the end zone, area alumni and friends gathered on Saturday, September 3rd prior to the Marietta Pioneers' home opener vs. Denison University.

Over 60 alumni and friends enjoyed great food and drink, along with good company. A silent and live auction was made possible thanks to generous donors, and attendees were entered in a raffle. In keeping with tradition, MOV Day at Don Drumm Stadium once again raised funds for Pioneer athletics.

Following the event, attendees made their way to the stands to cheer on the Pioneers along with over 3000 other fans. The Caldwell High School band performed both pre-game and halftime shows, and area youth cheerleaders joined the Pioneers on the sidelines. The game was broadcast live on WTAP. And while the Pios lost 34-21, they gave their fans a lot to cheer for!
